Eastern region is known for its bauxite deposits, Akuapem and Kwahu mountains and its beautiful waterfalls.
Kwahu Easter Celebration
Kwahu Easter celebration is the annual Easter celebration of the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region of Ghana. People from all walks of life and all nationality throng to the Kwahu Mountains every Easter to celebrate the three-day long holiday. Activities includes paragliding, hiking, carnivals and street jams. For the indigenes, that is the Kwahu people, it is the annual home coming but for travelers and visitors it is an occasion for celebration. There are also performances by various artistes during the celebration.

Akaa Waterfalls
Akaa waterfalls is referred to as nature’s undiscovered beauty in Ghana.Akaa falls is a fantastic natural water falls located near the Akyeremateng village in the Akuapem North District in the Eastern Region of Ghana.Akaa falls is a home rich vegetation and an amazing water body on the cliff.

Aburi Botanical Gardens
The garden was officially opened in March 1890. Aburi Botanical Garden has had many roles over the years including plant introduction and teaching scientific methods of agriculture but today it is one of the world’s 1800 botanical gardens leading the fight to save plant diversity through research conservation of medicine plant, plant multiplication, horticulture training and environmental education. It is located on the Aburi Mountains in the Eastern part of Ghana.

Boti Falls
Boti falls is a twin waterfall located at Boti in the Eastern Region of Ghana. These twin falls are referred to as male and female. It is located 17km North East of Koforidua, which is the Eastern Regional capital. It is just over 30 minutes’ drive from Koforidua and over 90 minutes’ drive from Accra.
