The Greater Accra region encompasses the capital city of Ghana and its surrounding towns. The region boasts of various tourism sites like the Black Star Square and W.E.B Du Bois center among others.
Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park & Mausoleum.
It is located in Accra, the capital of Ghana and was established in 1st July, 1992.The mausoleum was dedicated to the prominent Ghanaian President Kwame Nkrumah. The building is meant to represent an upside downward symbol of peace. The mausoleum is clad from top to bottom with Italian marble with a black star at its apex which symbolizes unity.
The interior boasts marble flooring and a mini mastaba looking marble marker and is surrounded by a river washed rock. A skylight @ the top in the mausoleum illuminates the grave. The mausoleum is surrounded by water which is a symbol of life.

Black Star Square
Black star square is a public square in Accra, Ghana surrounded by the Accra Sports Stadium and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. The square hosts the annual independence celebrations as well as other national events. It is currently the site for all civil and military parades in Ghana. It was completed in the year 1961 which coincided with the state visit of Queen Elizabeth’s II to Ghana.

Shai Hills Resource Reserve
Shai Hills Resource Reserve is located at Shai in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The Resource Reserve is only 51 square kilometers. Its vegetation is a combination of open and wooded grassland and animals found there includes Antelopes, baboons and francolins.
